What Our Guests Say

Really good spot if you’re visiting DC on a budget. The location is great — close to restaurants, public transit, and not too far from the main sights. The hotel itself is older but has some charm, and the price is reasonable compared to other places in the area. Just a heads-up: they don’t serve breakfast or any meals, so you’ll want to plan to eat out. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and worked well for what I needed.

This is definitely a quirky little hotel! Some things in the room were broken (like the hook for hanging your towel after the shower), but everything was satisfactorily clean and serviceable. My room was in the basement, right next to a door to the alleyway, but it was still very quiet and dark. The AC kept the temperature very comfortable. Check in and out was easy. They did collect a $150 deposit, but I put it on my credit card and it was reimbursed before I would have needed to pay it off. The neighborhood is very convenient and safe, which I would say is the number one reason to recommend this place. No frills, but perfectly fine if you're on a budget and not at all picky. Not wheelchair accessible.

The hotel is very quiet, decent stay, full of historical sites frames, I like the vibe of preserving colonial era environment plus it reminds of Long Island North Fork, Greenport which is the most colonial era preservation towns, very quiet and sophisticated. The Windsor Inn Hotel reminds me of such vibes, the environment. They had a hot iron and an ironing board plus 90’s phones in the room. I highly doubt anyone uses such items but it adds to the colonial era hotel vibe. I like it.

The hotel doesn’t give paper receipts but electronical receipts . Odd for the hotel vibes.

The staff is good.
