From the moment you step into our 1920s Art Deco lobby, you’ll be surrounded by the charm of a bygone era — complete with original architectural details, curved counters, and period tilework that tell the story of a building with deep roots in the capital’s history.  Plus, getting around the city is easy; we are conveniently located just a 10-minute walk (3 blocks) from the U Street/Cardozo Metro Station, which services the Green and Yellow Lines.

Our History

Originally built in 1913 as a luxury apartment building, the Windsor Inn is a small European-style hotel has been updated with many styles of rooms that accommodate business travellers and tourists alike. Located close to the Dupont Metro station and the 13th/U St Metro station, the hotel offers easy access to Washington DC and the surrounding areas, the hotel is also convenient placed for visiting local restaurants and shopping. The Windsor Inn's art deco lobby has original curved counters, moldings, and floor tiles from the 1920s renewal.
